In the government's schools performance tables published on January 26th 2012, Highams Park School has come top of all Waltham Forest state schools for percentage of pupils achieving 5 A*-C grade GCSEs (or equivalent) including English and maths again.

A record 75% of Highams Park pupils gained 5 or more GCSE passes at grades A*-C including English and maths. This is 6% more than last year's record high and represents a major increase in the upward trajectory seen year on year at the school.

In English 88% of Highams Park School pupils gained a grade between A*-C, in maths the figure was 77%. Both subjects are up on last year and a new record for each subject.

Overall, 9 out of 10 Highams Park pupils gained 5 or more A*-C passes at GCSE. 81% of all exam entries resulted in a grade between A* and C (the comparable national GCSE pass rate is 69.8%), an increase of 10% on last year and a new all time high for the school.

Of course, Lisa & I at Maxmove are delighted to have our son attend Highams Park school and expect competition for properties for sale in Highams Park to be as fierce as ever this year.

The catchment area for Highams Park School for 2011/2012 was 0.703 miles. We will keep you informed of the catchment for the next intake as soon as we get it.
